Project Notes: Hear My Voice
The award winning film Hear My Voice is a poignant short drama directed by Daniele Guerra and written by Alex Kassab. It centres on Mike, an opera singer whose career and love life have come to a standstill. During an unremarkable gay hook-up, he encounters an apparition of his late grandmother, which challenges him to reassess his life and choices. The story blends personal reflection with themes of generational connection and self-discovery. Released in 2021, the film has a runtime of 13 minutes and is set in the UK, showcasing both intimate storytelling and a unique perspective on identity and purpose.
I was tasked with developing the brand identity for the short film Hear My Voice. The design approach emphasised simplicity and personalisation, reflecting the film’s emotional depth and central storyline. The branding incorporated elements that would resonate with the themes of generational connection and self-discovery, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic across both digital and print marketing channels. This strategy enhanced the film’s presence in online promotions, festivals, and offline campaigns, reinforcing its narrative while appealing to a broader audience.
