Project Notes: The Community Art Project
The Community Art Project leverages the extensive global experience of its founder, Carlos Ossa Valencia, to empower individuals and communities through creative action. Using art as a catalyst for social change, the initiative engages with at-risk and vulnerable populations, fostering personal and communal transformation. Through innovative strategies and empathetic tools, it provides opportunities for self-expression, empowerment, and positive change, addressing issues such as inequality, mental health, and community cohesion.
In 2019, Carlos Ossa Valencia tasked me with developing the organisation’s logo, brand identity, and online presence. The brief was to create a vibrant and inclusive visual identity that captured the project’s dynamic mission. I designed a responsive, bold, and colourful website to showcase the organisation’s portfolio of community-based projects, ensuring an engaging and intuitive user experience.
This project was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to an organisation using art as a transformative force. The brand and website were designed to reflect the project’s energy and vision, resonating with diverse audiences and amplifying its impactful work.
