Project Notes: Artivism
Artivism was a groundbreaking event series produced by Matthew Schmolle Productions, designed to merge art and activism into a powerful force for change. At its core, #ARTIVISM sought to amplify diverse voices and perspectives, transforming them into bold, large-scale artistic expressions with the potential to spark meaningful change.
The initiative centered on a series of over six masterclass workshops, led by renowned artists, which helped participants develop impactful pieces of ARTIVISM. These creations provided a platform for personal and political views to be heard and seen, fostering a sense of empowerment and creative expression.
Artivism ran the project multiple times throughout the year, building a reputation for its raw, punk-inspired aesthetic and its ability to engage audiences through provocative visual campaigns. I was tasked with creating a brand aesthetic for their marketing campaigns and overall marketing.
